05/10/10: Work in Progress!

As you may have noticed, we have now reached our target and raised £200,000 to regenerate Waddington Park.

The builders have moved in to create the path, whilst the playground contractors are currently working on both the children's playground and the revolutionary I-Play system.

We are currently trying to upload the masterplans and pictures of progress so far.

Keep in touch so we can keep you informed of progress.

A revolutionary I-Play System:

A revolutionary new playground system is being proposed for Waddington Park in St Annes.

The i.play, developed in conjunction with top researchers at Loughborough University, has been specifically designed to combat child obesity and is included in the masterplan for Waddington Park’s regeneration drawn up by Lancashire County Council, Fylde Borough Council and Friends of Waddington Park.   read more

Great turn out for the consultation!

It was great to see so many residents, Clifton Primary school children and parents at the consultation. It was clear from the enthusiastic views and ideas that the community really care about the park and its regeneration.

15/05/08: Date announced for Masterplan consultation

All residents and interested parties are invited to a public meeting again to be held at Clifton Primary School between 3 – 6 p.m. on Tuesday 10th June - at which the draft masterplan will be available for viewing and comment.

This design is a compilation of residents' suggestions together with those from Fylde Borough Council, Lancashire County Council and Committee Members of the Friends of Waddington Park. Once the masterplan is finally agreed we can then start the task of fundraising for the project. Please do all you can to attend this important event.

01/04/08: Excellent turn-out at Public Consultation

Residents showed how interested they are in the future of Waddington Park when high numbers turned out to view outline concepts for the Park's regeneration recently. See the Photos page for images of the plans.

Feedback forms were completed and a Master Plan will now be drawn up for further a further Public Consultation in May. Watch this site for details.
